Job Summary
Peco Foods Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Lab Assistant for our Microbiology Lab to support sample preparation and laboratory operations.
This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours each week. The work schedule will be day shift Friday through Sunday.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of college coursework with a strong emphasis in life sciences.
- Competent math and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Must be able to follow written procedures
- Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays.
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to work alone
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Laboratory Technology
- Experience in basic laboratory procedures
- Experience in chemical safety procedures
